This has been happening pretty much ever since I’ve had my computer, but at first it would happen like every 20th time I turned it on. You can give it a try at the Bios setup environment and disable your build in sound card. It seems you have one of a number of motherboards which uses an ES chip with an AC’97 codec. What would be the ideal way to do this? I think it plays Audic CDs too. Is there such driver.

It seems you have one of a number of motherboards which soune an ES chip with an AC’97 codec. I think, you gave me the right clue by telling that it creativve an upgrade, while reinstalling and when prompted creative es1373 sound the file, pop n the Me CD.

THe WDM drivers work best, just go into the sound card setup Creative Mixer and make sure you have everything selected creative es1373 sound and lines to your sound system appropriately plugged.

You are probably right, it sounds like creative es1373 sound are leading me to the right track here. Increasingly flake drivers were just the last nail in the coffin. Could you give me creative es1373 sound link to the driver that finally worked for you?
